Code of Conduct

This code describes what BASIC expects of everyone involved in its work.

Overview

BASIC’s work depends on trust between students, families, volunteers, staff and the community. We expect everyone involved in that work, including board members, staff, volunteers, students and families, to act with respect, honesty and integrity.

Respect

Treat everyone with courtesy and fairness. Harassment and discrimination have no place at BASIC.

Integrity

Be honest, act responsibly, and follow BASIC’s guidance and the law.

Confidentiality

Respect the privacy of students, families and donors, and treat what you learn through BASIC’s work with care.
